Taylor Swift set a record with her hit track, "Cruel Summer."
From Swift's seventh studio album, Lover, the hit song "Cruel Summer" has been part of the singer's The Eras Tour setlist while breaking records and receiving awards. It won the TikTok Bop of the Year at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards and got nominations for the Song of the Year and Pop Song of the Year.
"Cruel Summer" Scores New Record
Swift officially reached her first 2 billion streams in a single song on Spotify with "Cruel Summer." A fan account on X, Spotify Swiftie, also noted that it became the 17th most streamed song in the history of the audio streaming and media service provider.
Haunted Swiftie - TS Spotify fan account also predicted when Swift's other songs could reach the milestone.
Per the user, "Blank Space" might join the 2 billion streams club in December, while "Anti-Hero" can be on the list by April 2025.
In addition to these new records, Swift has also become the first person to have five albums on Spotify with over 7 billion streams each. She also became the first female artist to garner 1 billion streams on the music streaming platform for her 10 solo singles.
In addition, the "Bejeweled" singer follows The Weekend in the list of most listened-to artists.
As of press time, Spotify's Most Played All-Time playlist includes the tracks "Blinding Lights" by The Weeknd, "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran, "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi, Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse theme "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee, "Starboy" by The Weekend and "As It Was" by Harry Styles, to name a few.

Taylor Swift Is Now a Billionaire
The success of her releases also became a win for her whole career.
After becoming a billionaire in October 2023, Forbes added Swift to its billionaires club on April 2 after the singer hit the $1.1 billion mark. Swift became the first musician to hit the milestone solely through her songs and performances. Forbes also divided her net worth into three categories: $500 million in royalties, $500 million in the value of her music catalog and $125 million in real estate.
Overall, Swift ranks No. 2,546 in the complete list of the world's billionaires.
