Victoria Beckham gained massive attention ever since she became Posh Spice in Spice Girls in the 1990s.
Today, she's celebrating her 50th birthday.
Victoria Beckham Biography
Born on April 17, 1974, Beckham auditioned for a 1994 advertisement in The Stage, which required girls who were "street smart, extroverted, ambitious and able to sing and dance," which eventually became The Spice Girls.
Famously, the 50-year-old singer donned the persona of Posh Spice, which debuted on "Wannabe." She, alongside Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice), and Melanie C (Sporty Spice), comprised the iconic Spice Girls.
Beckham remained a dedicated band member after it took a hiatus in 2001 and when it reunited in 2007 and 2012.
Victoria Beckham Net Worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Beckham's net worth is $450 million. This is primarily attributed to her earnings back when Spice Girls was in its heyday when she earned $75 million annually. When they reunited for the reunion tour in 2012, she made $70 million.
Beckham's net worth also ballooned due to her appearances, collaborations, and lucrative brand deals with high-end brands like Estée Lauder and Armani, among many others.
Her business, Victoria Beckham Beauty, also bolstered her fortunes, as did her partnership with her husband, David Beckham.
Why Victoria Beckham is Hard to Recruit for Spice Girls Reunion
In 2023, Mel B revealed to The Sun why Victoria Beckham is hard to recruit for a Spice Girls reunion.
"My theory is that if I say it enough, it will happen," she said at the time. "But actually, we are planning on releasing a statement."
She confirmed that Beckham didn't need "convincing" as they are still in contact and on speaking terms.
"She was really busy doing her fashion line and supporting David with his moves and his career and obviously she's got a bunch of kids so it's just about finding the right time. We've managed to do that so there should be an announcement pretty soon."
In 2024, Mel B seemed to confirm that something definite is in the works in an interview with Today.
"I can't because I always get told off because I'm the blabbermouth," she told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. Still, "You know, we are working -- I think I said this to you before, us five are working on something that's going to be announced soon."
However, Bush wanted more than Mel B had said, and she tried to push even further. Mel B confirmed that people would be "very, very, very" satisfied with a project that all five of them were putting out soon.
