After being abandoned by her fiancé, one Taylor Swift fan made the decision to treat herself to the Lover singer's concert.
"Today was supposed to be my wedding day, but my fiancé called it off, so I decided to book a flight and I'm gonna go see Taylor Swift instead." said Tik Tok user Make It Jess in a video that she says took place one year ago.

"Let's see how many times I cry," she said as she headed to the airport. Her first recorded crying session arrived in the taxi while the following three were all during Swift's show. "Cruel Summer" in particular brought Jess to tears.
When she returned home, she shed tears on the flight, at the airport, in the taxi and at her brother's house, which she said is her "new 'home.'"
"In time you will heal and find your person," wrote one commenter.
In a follow-up video, Jess detailed the friendship bracelets she made for a Taylor Swift concert. Friendship bracelets are a signature of the pop stars, with fans trading bracelets at shows. Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, famously tried to woo her by putting his phone number on a friendship bracelet he intended to give her.
She picked up an "entirely new" large set of beads for bracelet-making. Jess made ten bracelets, one for each of the songstress' albums.
"The reason I got these beads was to keep me busy and to keep my mind off things because my fiancé had just called off our wedding," she explained. Jess further explained the details of her unfortunate situation, saying that she was just over two weeks away from her wedding day when her fiancé changed his mind.
"I didn't want the day formerly known as my wedding day to be tainted, so I decided to change it. So, I bought a ticket to her concert and a flight from Toronto to Texas."
Jess spent the next two weeks making friendship bracelets, which she described as a form of therapy for her as it helped her stay distracted from her ex-fiancé's decision.
"I knew that would be a really hard day for me," she admitted. Rather than having family or friends join her, Jess opted to go to the show alone as she wanted to be with her thoughts and feelings.
"I knew there was only one person who would get me through that day, and it's Taylor Swift," she said.
She further explained the situation in another Tik Tok. Jess showed a clip of her proposal while she narrated the story. She and her fiancé wanted "different things," and he ended their engagement.
"I came out a stronger person because of it, and I'll always be thankful for that." She elaborated that his calling off the wedding was the "Greatest gift that he could ever give me. I just wish it didn't take him so long!"
Now, Jess's theoretical wedding day will forever be known to her as "Taylor Swift Day."
