Jelly Roll has been harvesting the fruit of his labor over the past year as he went on tour, received countless awards and nominations, and amassed millions of listeners worldwide, but he's not stopping anytime soon as he revealed his plans in music.
The musician recently dropped by Audacy's KMLE 107.9 and gave fans a hint about his following projects, which involve collaborations with artists in and out of the country music genre.
"I got some features. I collabed with some crazy people in and out of genre. I reached, man. I tell you what, I ain't got no shame. I'll shoot my shot," he said. (via Billboard)
Throughout his career, Jelly Roll has collaborated with some of the industry's biggest musicians, including Lil Wyte, Cody Johnson, Craig Morgan, and many more.
The singer has not shared more details about his next projects, as he never revealed an official release date or timeline.
"New music is on the horizon... It's a new chapter," he added.
Jelly Roll Closing 'Whitsitt Chapel' Era
Elsewhere in the interview, the musician revealed that he's finally concluding his Whitsitt Chapel era. His closing single was "Halfway to Hell," which he performed at the CMT Music Awards.
"I feel like the CMTs was the end of the Whitsitt Chapel era," he said.
The singer was victorious at the CMTs after winning three awards. In addition, he was nominated for this year's Grammy Awards, but he didn't win the two categories.
Regardless, the singer's future is still bright. The Academy of Country Music Awards announced last week that the first-time nominee is nominated for four awards, including the Entertainer of the Year award.
