Ariana Grande is celebrating the success of her grandmother, Marjorie Grande, after she officially became the oldest person to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Ariana officially listed Marjorie as a featured artist on "Ordinary Things," the last track on Ariana's chart-topping album, Eternal Sunshine.

At 98, Marjorie officially became the most senior person to appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since it started in August 1958.

The song "Ordinary Things" arrived at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after Ariana released the whole album on March 8, 2024.

Marjorie beat out the late Fred Stobaugh, who was 96 when "Oh Sweet Lorraine" ranked on the charts in September 2014.

Marjorie didn't necessarily sing in "Ordinary Things" but offered life advice in the latter part of the album.

"Never go to bed without kissin' goodnight," Marjorie said. "That's the worst thing to do; don't ever, ever do that. And if you don't feel comfortable doing it, you're in the wrong place - get out."

Ariana revealed that she always records her Marjorie "because you never know what she's going to say."

"I had this 30-minute voice note of her and her friend Shirley talking," she added.

On Instagram, Ariana wrote: "Celebrating the one and only, most beautiful Nonna who has now made history for being the senior most person to ever appear on the @billboard Hot100. We love and thank you." Marjorie holds a plaque for her recent Billboard Hot 100 achievement.

Ariana Grande Explains Why She Added Marjorie Recording On 'Eternal Sunshine'

Speaking to Zane Lowe of Apple Music 1, Ariana shared why she added her grandmother to her most recent album.

"I think it's a little bit of, 'Wow, our loved ones, our friends and our family have the ability to instantly just sort of soothe and calm and simplify things that are so complicated and heavy at times.'" she explained.

Billboard reported that this was not the first time Marjorie appeared on Grande's albums. In fact, she was heard on "Daydreamin'" from her debut album, Yours Truly, and "Bloodline" on Thank U, Next - but she was not billed as a featured artist on both tracks.
