Aviva Drescher Formerly Of 'The Real Housewives Of New York' Accused Of Extortion And Sued For $620,500

It looks like Aviva Drescher is about to receive a little more attention than even she would like thanks to a lawsuit that has been filed against her and her husband, Reid Drescher. According to NYC-based artist Matthew Satz, the couple is holding several of his paintings hostage and he has filed a $500,000 supreme court lawsuit against them. Satz alleges that Aviva borrowed five of his original works and then hung them during a taping of The Real Housewives of New York. Aviva insisted that loaning her the paintings would give Satz more exposure and it worked, but the former reality star is now preventing them from being sold.

According to Satz he has had a buyer for his "Pink Smoke Painting" but when he refused to up the price so that he could give the Drescher's a cut of the profit, they refused to give him back his original painting. Satz attorney, Andrew Weinstein claims that both Aviva and Reid refuse to hand over the paintings unless a ransom is paid for them. The whole point in loaning his work to the Drescher's was the hope that he would have an easier time finding buyers after the episodes aired.

Aviva Drescher's antics on The Real Housewives of New York were always shady according to an overwhelming majority of the shows fans. She was recently fired from the Bravo hit show after flinging her prosthetic leg at party guests and then showing up for the show's reunion completely unapologetic for her behavior.

Does her entitlement include keeping Matthew Saltz's work even though it apparently should have been turned over to him a long time ago? Aviva has been caught in so many tall tales, will fans believe her when she inevitably denies the extortion allegations?
