Taylor Swift will host a special The Tortured Poets Department listening party via iHeartRadio at midnight Thursday (April 18) ET.
That's when the album will be available for streaming via all the major platforms, yet the radio conglomerate is offering a bit more.
According to an announcement from iHeartRadio, their listening party will be "hosted by The Chairman (aka Taylor)." The announcement goes on to promise that Swift "will be giving you the details on the meanings behind some of the new songs. Grab a cup of coffee and find that comfy spot on the couch because it's going to be a late one. Set your reminder and listen tonight!"
There's been much speculation about the album in the days and hours before release. We can confirm that the album's first single and video is "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone. Swift made that clear in a post on Instagram on Thursday (April 18).
The special will be available via the iHeartRadio app and on its terrestrial top 40 stations in various markets.
Thursday evening, Swift also teased the album and video in a new post on Instagram. "At this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings. Album tonight. Fortnight music video tomorrow at 8pm et," the post reads.
In the quick-cut video preview that challenges you to test your pause game, a flurry of images flash on the screen, including the album's title and logo, a page with the words "I love you" being typed on it, a woman (possibly Swift) at a desk with a typewriter, Post Malone at a typewriter, a woman (possibly Swift) strapped to a wall with some sort of wired device on her head, Post Malone and a woman (possibly Swift) embracing, Swift wearing a black Victorian style dress, Swift wearing white throwing a chair at a wall, and Swift's face in dramatic makeup with a choker around her neck.
