Orlando Bloom is not sure when his wedding to Katy Perry will actually happen.
The Lord of the Rings actor has revealed that they had started to plan their nuptials, but plans were derailed when the Covid-19 pandemic prohibited large gatherings in 2020.
"Well Covid put a kind of spanner in the works so we had all these grand plans that we can't execute until now," he told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on the Today Show.
The couple first started seeing each other in 2016, getting to know each other at a Weinstein Company/Netflix Golden Globes after party at Sunset Tower, Billboard reports. After breaking it off for a year in 2017, the couple rekindled their relationship and were engaged on Valentine's Day 2018.
Now, as the couple juggles raising their daughter, Daisy, and their respective careers, Bloom is unsure when they will find the time to plan a wedding amid their busy routines.
"Essentially, there's like a schedule, as you can imagine. So there's many moving parts to get us to do something like that," he continued.
While a wedding date may not be confirmed, Bloom did accidentally spill that new music from the "Teenage Dream" singer is coming soon.
"She's got new music coming out," he divulged, catching himself before he revealed too much. "I better be careful about what I say but there's a lot of cool things happening."
Perry recently confirmed that the new music is coming soon when she carried a scroll that read "KP6: TOP SECRET" while walking on a red carpet with Bloom. Held inside of a tiny glass purse, Perry has used similar promotional tactics in the past when music is incoming.
When speaking on her upcoming album, Perry has said that she is writing from a place of "unconditional love, that love you never knew existed."
"I just have yet to make a record from a place of feeling really happy and whole and full of love," she told Access Hollywood this week. "Sometimes artists are like, 'Oh, that's boring, you want to make music from kind of like a tougher place,' but actually it's very bright and joyful, like pure joy and fun and playful and celebratory and a party."
Following her acclaimed PLAY residency in Las Vegas, Perry is also planning on heading out on tour to support the new album. A source recently revealed that they are hoping to push the tour out by the end of 2024, celebrating her new music and iconic catalog of hits.
"But after so long spent on the West Coast of the US, she feels ready to tour again," the source said to Bang Showbiz. "The demand is there because she has so many hits, so taking her show on the road is bound to be a big draw."
Bloom is currently out promoting his new Peacock series, Orlando Bloom: To The Edge, where he explores death-defying stunts in unique places. Forever the supportive partner, Perry recently sported a t-shirt with Bloom's Lord of the Rings character on it when she stopped by Coachella.
