Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' charity auction event an even more memorable one by not just attending it, but made sure everyone there know just how much they love each other, and their fans.
To the surprise of many, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end referred to the pop singer as his "significant other."
"I think, um, I was just talking to my significant other," Kelce said, hinting to the audience that he's soon going to announce highly coveted auction item: tickets to Swift's Eras Tour.
"We might have one other auction item that wasn't on the docket," he then said. Has anybody heard of the Eras Tour?" Kelce asked, causing the crowd to go into an uproar.
Harry Santa, a professional auctioneer, started the bidding at $5,000, and according to Santa's Instagram account, @harrysanta, the four tickets ultimately sold for $80,000.
The money raised will benefit both 15 and the Mahomies, the foundation that 28-year-old quarterback Kirk Mahomes founded.
For an extra $10,000 each, Mahomes threw signed footballs into the audience.
Swift, 34, and Kelce attended the charity gala in Las Vegas on Saturday in order to support the nonprofit run by Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
While Kelce wore a blue suit, Swift dazzled in an olive gown that was strapless and accessorized with a gold choker necklace.
The pair even joined the throng at one point in spinning their red rally towels in the air. Since the summer of 2023, Patrick's friend and Kansas City Chiefs teammate Kelce has been dating the musical sensation.
Swift attended her first of 13 Chiefs games, including the Super Bowl, the following September.
Since March, Swift went on a hiatus from her Eras Tour in order to focus on promoting her album The Tortured Poets Department earlier this month.
She'll miss Kelce when she's on the road, a source tells Us Weekly, adding that she will start performing live in Paris in May.
"[They have] deepened their bond," the insider exclusively told Us Weekly with regard to their their time off. "It makes the prospect of her tour more challenging. She'll be sad, [but] they support and respect [each other]. They have busy careers, so they understand those commitments, as difficult as it is."
