Julia Fox announced an exciting new step in her career on Monday: her debut single.

"DOWN THE DRAIN. 05/03" posted the star on Instagram. She included a music note, microphone and sparkling emoji in her caption.

The post shows Fox in a crouched position sitting atop a bar counter. She wears a bright yellow dress that stretches from the nape of her neck to below her feet. The massive garment is complemented by matching black gloves that stretch up to Fox's elbows. Her legs are clad in black leather pants that cover her feet, which poke out of yellow heels. A fox-like yellow mask with blacked out eyes rests upon her face, showing only her lips.

The actress, model, mother, New York Times Bestselling author and now-singer is surrounded by light pink neon lights that read "Julia Fox" and "Down the Drain." The bar surrounding her is dirty, riddled with bottles, paint stains and grime.

Her hair is long and blonde, a departure from the more shocking look that Fox was sporting earlier this month. The multihyphenate dyed her hair "Velveeta Gold" in support of a recent partnership with the cheese brand, which has begun to sell semi-permanent hair dye in the shade of its iconic product.

Fox's single, "Down the Drain," shares a name with her New York Times Bestselling memoir. The book details Fox's turbulent life, including events like her time as a BDSM dominatrix in New York City, work as a budding actress in Uncut Gems and her highly publicized relationship with rapper Kanye West.

Down the Drain earned Fox high praise from TIME magazine, who called her "one of her generation's most authentic storytellers, cutting through niche fame and viral moments with a clarion voice and a worldly-wise sensibility."

Fox premiered "Down the Drain" at Charli XCX's sold-out Boiler Room set in February. The song is a delightful piece of electro-pop. With silver hair and all black ensemble, Fox took to the stage to premiere the track to an eager audience. She drones "I'm a bitch, I'm a girl, I'm a mother, I'm a whore/I'm a bitch, I'm a girl, I'm a woman, I'm a whore" in an auto tuned voice over bassy production that leans into glitched out electronica.

The track complements Fox's clubby, futuristic, hyperfemme persona. In a curt verse, she begs the listener to "Come with me, come down the drain/I'll be sweet like sugar cane/Come get lost inside my brain/I promise that you'll go insane." She croons like a siren over the Ben Draghi-produced beats.

Fans expressed their excitement for the track immediately, with X user @alexsimpsxn sharing a clip of the song with the caption, "julia fox performing her debut single down the drain during charli xcx's boiler room set...iconic."

On Fox's recent Instagram post, another fan wrote "We've been bumping the LIVE Charli version since we heard it.... can't wait MOTHER!!!" in excitement.

"Down the Drain" releases on May 3.
