Sky Ferreira Reveals Charli XCX Collaboration, Says It Will "Sound Very TATU"

Sky Ferreira revealed that she is working with Charli XCX on a new track together, which she is comparing to the sounds of Russian pop duo t.A.T.u., who are best known for their debut single "All The Things She Said."

Ferriera took to Twitter to describe the collaborating saying, "I imagine a/this song written with @charli_xcx will sound very TATU" then later corrected herself on the stylized spelling of the duo's name.

As NME points out, Ferreira is hard at work on her sophomore album while Charli XCX is set to release her new LP Sucker on October 5 via Asylum Records. The album features her hit "Boom Clap," as well as "Break the Rules," which will drop as a single the day of the album's release.

Charli XCX recently spoke to Buzzfeed about the new single, saying, "The song is inspired by a lot of the things I was listening to whilst in Sweden at the end of last year. I spent about a month making a punk record and covering songs by Swedish punk bands like Snuffed By The Yakuza. This song was written when I came out of the other side of that punk phase and translated it into something more pop."

No word yet on when this collaboration will be released, but it's sure to be interesting.
