What's The Deal with Carpenter and Gyllenhaal?
Swift and Gyllenhaal shared a brief romantic relationship from late 2010 to early 2011. Their age difference was substantial: the 14-time Grammy winner was 20, and the seasoned actor was 29.
Her album Red from 2012 is often interpreted as being inspired by her romance with the actor from Roadhouse, with tracks like "We Are Never Getting Back Together" and "All Too Well" thought to reflect their relationship.
Swift unveiled her new version of Red in 2021, highlighting an extended, 10-minute rendition of the fan-favorite track "All Too Well."
Meanwhile, last year, Swift announced that Carpenter would be taking the stage as the opening act for the pop music sensation on a segment of her highly acclaimed Eras World Tour.
One performance also allowed the "Espresso" singer to perform a duet alongside Swift.
Before embarking on a tour with the "Fortnight" singer, Carpenter excitedly shared her admiration for Swift, recalling their initial meeting when she was just 17.
