A fan of Australian punk band Trophy Eyes suffered a severe spinal cord injury Tuesday after a concert went wrong.

Shortly into a show at Mohawk Place in Buffalo, N.Y., Trophy Eyes lead singer John Floreani turned his back to the stage, leaned and jumped back into the audience to crowd surf.

A young attendee, Bird Piché, was in the crowd when Floreani dove in and began to crowd surf. At some point during Floreani's escapade, Piché, reportedly, realized she "couldn't move" per an alleged attendee who claims to have overheard her.

The show soon came to a close as ambulances arrived to rush Piché to the hospital.

The attendee then underwent "extensive surgery," per a GoFundMe that has opened to support her recovery and rehabilitation.

"She has a long recovery ahead and will need all the help she can get. It is still too early to know what her prognosis is but after leaving the hospital she will need to go to a rehab facility. She will obviously not be able to work during this time," reads the fundraising team's message.

Piché had also "recently began running and in the featured photo she had placed second in her age group!" As pictured on her Instagram, Piché recently completed a half marathon.

The GoFundMe finishes with a promise that "We will update with details according to her comfort level. The funds will be used for medical bills and anything she may need to function in life because of the accident."

Trophy Eyes came under fire previously for telling concert attendees "f- you" when they were met with more raucous mosh pits than they had expected.

An account under the name BuffalosMohawkPlace responded to a Reddit comment that claimed Bird was "in EMC and has a broken neck."

"If they would be willing to have you give us their contact info, we would appreciate it. We didn't get her info last night and wanted to reach out to check in on her," wrote what is believed to be the venue's account.

Mohawk Place has a strict no tolerance policy on both stage diving and crowd surfing.

"You can't say attendees are at their own risk when the venue has signs banning stage diving," wrote one Reddit user in response to a video on the Trophy Eyes subreddit. In the video's caption, the original poster wrote that a "girl in the middle of the crowd ended up getting seriously injured after this stage dive."

In 2011, a concertgoer suffered a serious spinal injury at the same venue when he was knocked to the ground by a stage diver during a Terror and Trapped Under Ice show. The Buffalo hardcore community gathered around him, with one friend writing on a fundraising page, "when someone gets knocked down in hardcore, we PICK THEM BACK UP."

Piché's GoFundMe has currently raised $13,000 of its $100,000 goal.
