Imagine Dragons released a new version of "Eyes Closed" featuring J Balvin on Friday (May 3) in a bid for crossover appeal.
The new take of the single and accompanying video feature Balvin dropping verses in Spanish following the first chorus. A press announcement about the new collaboration calls it a "genre-smashing bilingual banger."
In the video for the track, Balvin appears shirtless, showing off his chest tattoos, in a red suit. The clip was directed by the band's longtime collaborator Matt Eastin.
The track is the second released from Imagine Dragon's forthcoming sixth studio album, Loom, due June 28. The album is produced by the band and longtime collaborators Mattman and Robin.
Imagine Dragons will support the new album with their biggest North American headlining tour to date. It kicks off July 30 in Camden, N.J. at Freedom Mortgage Center and hits major cities across the country before wrapping up with a pair of dates on Oct. 22 and 23 at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, Calif.
