Fans took to social media to express their frustration after the organizers of the Lovers & Friends festival abruptly canceled the event due to inclement weather. However, there was a silver lining as Snoop Dogg and T-Pain, both part of the anticipated lineup, stepped in to salvage the situation by performing for the already quite agitated attendees.

According to Page Six, the two rappers held an impromptu concert at the Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World in Las Vegas over the weekend just after the music festival canceled the event on the same day it was supposed to occur.

In videos circulating online, T-Pain can be seen dancing in front of a crowd while rapping his songs, while Snoop Dogg is seen supporting him at the back and acting as the MC.

The precise number of attendees remains uncertain, but according to KSNV News 3, thousands of people were seen dancing to the music of the two artists.

In a video clip shared by the news outlet, fans congregated and danced by the pool area while both rappers entertained them with their music.

Lovers & Friends Festival Canceled at the Last Minute

According to USA Today, the festival's organizers canceled the event, which was set to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.

In a statement on social media, organizers wrote, "Lovers & Friends Festival organizers have been monitoring the weather for several days and proactively preparing for a windy Saturday."

They later confirmed that after deliberating with the National Weather Service and local officials, they had decided to cancel the event to ensure the safety of concertgoers.

"This was an incredibly heartbreaking decision to make as we are aware that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this incredible lineup of superstars and have been looking forward to this event for several months," they added.

Usher Disappointed Over Lovers & Friends Festival Cancelation

After confirmation that the event would no longer proceed, Usher, who had previously announced plans to perform his entire Confessions album in celebration of its 20th anniversary, expressed his disappointment about the cancellation.

"We were getting ready to turn up and celebrate today. I have to follow the orders of city officials and the National Weather Service for everyone's protection and stand strong in my belief that everything happens for a reason," he noted, adding that he will see his fans soon.

In addition to Usher, T-Pain, and Snoop Dogg, other musicians slated to perform at the now-canceled event were TLC, Nelly Furtado, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Nas, Ludacris, Timbaland, Janet Jackson, and many more.
