Janet Jackson was slated to perform at the Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas, but the event was canceled at the last minute due to bad weather. Instead of leaving the city, the singer decided to stop over and watch Kylie Minogue perform at her residency concert.

Taking to her official Instagram account, the "That's the Way Love Goes" hitmaker shared a photo of herself wearing an all-black outfit as she posed with the pop star, who donned an all-white outerwear detailed with buttons paired with silver clothing inside.

"So glad I got the chance to see my friend @kylieminogue perform tonite," she wrote in the caption.

The post comes after the annual Lovers & Friends festival was canceled a day before it was supposed to take place.

The event organizers took to their official website to share the announcement, saying they have been monitoring the weather days before the event and are proactively preparing for a windy Saturday.

However, due to the National Weather Service's High Wind Warning, they had no choice but to cancel the festival to ensure the safety of fans, artists, and staff.

"We are aware that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this incredible lineup of superstars and have been looking forward to this event for several months," they continued, as reported by People magazine.

Janet Jackson, who was also set to perform shared her disappointment, writing, "We are heartbroken we won't be able to see you tonight at Lovers & Friends due to the possibility of dangerous winds. We know that many of you traveled far and wide to be here. The show would have also marked our last before we shift gears to the summer leg of the tour. We trust in God's plan and find light in knowing we'll be together again soon. We love you and are so grateful for you."

Fans who bought their tickets from Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days.

Usher, who was set to perform his entire "Confessions" album to celebrate its 20th anniversary, expressed his disappointment on social media, saying he was ready to "turn up" but had to follow city officials' orders.

Aside from Jackson, other musicians included in the official lineup were Gwen Stefani, Nas, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, TLC, Usher, Timbaland, Ludacris, and many more.

Even though the festival was canceled, Snoop Dogg and T-Pain, both part of the lineup, decided to save the day from angry fans by holding an impromptu concert at the Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World.

In videos posted on social media, T-Pain can be seen busting out his dance moves while vibing to his songs, while Snoop Dogg supports him at the back as an MC.

In a clip shared by KSNV News, a crowd danced to the pair's music as they jived in the bar's pool area.
