Grammy-winning singer and musician Keith Urban revealed his two favorite artistsy - Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. The "Somebody Like You" singer spoke to People magazine and gushed about Taylor Swift's newest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Urban echoed critics' and fans' reviews of the chart-topping album.

"I mean, God, Taylor's songwriting, it's so extraordinary. There's really no adjectives for it," he told the magazine. "She's such a great, great writer. So this new album is just more proof of that in really great ways."

Swift and Urban had collaborated on the Fearless (Taylor's Version) deep cut "That's When." The song was not a hit, only debuting on the third spot of the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart in 2021.

Swift's The Tortured Poets Department had a huge debut at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, raking in 2.61 million album units, the second biggest album debut in modern music history, next to Adele's whooping 3.482 million album units for her album, 25.

Urban also raved about Ariana Grande and her second single from Eternal Sunshine, "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)."

"I don't know what is going on with that song, but I cannot stop playing it. It's like audible heroin. Literally, I have to have another hit," he said. "I play that thing over and over and over." Urban added that the track contained "some real celestial magic," declaring it his "absolute current obsession song right now."

The country singe added that he has "always liked Ariana anyway."

"She doesn't sound like anyone. It's like Taylor. I like singers that you know their voice immediately, and there's a lot of other singers that sound like them, but they don't sound like anyone," he confessed. "Ariana has always had that unique vocal gift. On top of that, she's a phenomenal writer and producer. So it was easy for me to stumble upon that new album. I was interested in it before it came out."

Urban was among the few lucky people to witness Grande perform a string of her songs at the 2024 MET Gala as he attended the annual fashion event with his wife, Nicole Kidman.

Grande performed "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)," "Yes, And?," "7 Rings," "Into You," "The Boy Is Mine," "Once Upon A Dream," and a duet of "When You Believe" with Cynthia Erivo.
