The singer's management, Parkwood Entertainment, took to its official X account to share the good news and confirmed that the album had already amassed over a billion streams on Spotify.
The recent news comes after the streaming company confirmed in late March that Cowboy Carter made history by becoming the most-streamed album in a single day in 2024, making it the first country album to receive the title.
However, Taylor Swift immediately broke the record when she released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
People magazine reported that the entire record also received other success, such as on the charts, where it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Top Country Albums chart.
Beyoncé also became the first Black woman ever to lead the latter since the chart was first introduced to the public in 1964.
The singer has over 23 songs from the country album to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, which boosted her entries from 85 to 106, making her the 17th artist and the third woman to chart over 100 songs on the Hot 100.

Cowboy Carter is a project near to Beyoncé's heart. She worked on it for five years and decided to work on a country album after an experience in which she didn't feel welcomed.
"Because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive... It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world," she wrote on social media.
Beyoncé's unique sound can be heard throughout the album, as she defied the genre and mixed it with others. The singer declared that Cowboy Carter isn't a country album but a "Beyoncé album."
In other updates about the singer, fans have speculated that she will go on tour anytime soon as the domain cowboycarterworldtour.com leads users to the musician's Ticketmaster page. However, she has yet to release any tour dates.
Her latest project is the follow-up to the first act, Renaissance, released in 2022. As of this writing, the musician has yet to share details about the third act.
