DDG and Halle Bailey have been the subject of split rumors over the past few months, but they seemingly shut down the speculations as they got matching tattoos to celebrate Mother's Day.
The rapper took to his official YouTube channel to share a vlog featuring the two of them spending the holiday weekend. DDG said at the beginning of the clip that he didn't want to do anything traditional, so he thought of something that would last forever: a tattoo.
"I got a tattoo artist that just pulled up... Halle's never got a tattoo before. She has no idea that she's about to get a tattoo. But we just gonna get matching 'Halo' tattoos," he said.
He later woke The Little Mermaid actress up along with their child, Halo, and they went on to receive the matching tattoos.
Later in the 45-minute video, the Chloe x Halle songstress is supported by her partner, who holds her hand while she gets her first tattoo.
In the end, they revealed each other's new matching body ink, which featured the word "Halo" as a dedication to their firstborn.
Although they had the same word written on each other's wrists, Bailey opted for red ink, while DDG got a bold black script.
In other updates about the couple, the actress took to her official Instagram account to share a compilation video of herself while staying in the hospital around the time she gave birth to her baby and a few clips of Halo growing up.
In the caption, she wrote: "my first mother's day the greatest love i've ever known."
The recent news comes after breakup rumors surrounded the couple after eagle-eyed fans noticed the pair had unfollowed each other on social media. Followers also noticed that Bailey deleted some of her photos with her partner.
However, Bailey's team spoke with Radar Online to debunk the speculations, saying, "This is fake news. Not true at all."
Regarding the singer's motherhood, she got candid with her fans on Snapchat about her experience with postpartum depression.
"I have severe, severe postpartum [depression], and I don't know if any new moms can relate, but it's to the point where it's really bad, and it's hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out," she said.
