American Idol is facing a major transition as Katy Perry exits the judges' panel, but the show aims to rebound by eyeing rock legend Jon Bon Jovi as her replacement.

According to an exclusive source, Jon Bon Jovi is the top choice to fill Perry's shoes. With his undeniable charisma and stage presence, he's seen as the perfect fit to captivate audiences. However, his reported $25 million asking price could be a hurdle for negotiations.

"Jon is the undisputed top contender to succeed Katy," an insider exclusively tells Life & Style.

"A living legend with undeniable charisma, he possesses all the qualities necessary to command the stage and captivate TV audiences," the source added.

Perry, 39, recently announced her departure from American Idol to focus on her music career. Since then, tensions have reportedly escalated on set as judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan clash over who will replace her.

Sources suggest that Richie, 74, and Bryan, 47, have been at odds over the decision, leading to a tense atmosphere behind the scenes. Amidst uncertainty about the judging panel's future, speculation continues about who will ultimately join the show.

"This has been a very stressful time for Luke and Lionel because they've been left in the dark about so much - there was even talk producers were going to start fresh with a whole new lineup and give them the boot," the insider explained. "That hasn't happened, so now the next worry is who will join the show."

Jon Bon Jovi is not the only one rumored to be able to take Katy Perry's place though. When Pink attended the premiere of Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion in NYC on Monday, May 13, she was asked about the idea of filling Perry's seat, but the "So What" vocalist admitted she's "not set up" for the role.

"I'm not inclined toward drama and feuds and soundbites," Pink revealed in a radio station interview. "They're like, 'Team Katy or Team Taylor?' And I said, 'Either way, I can't win-but Taylor?' And I should've just kept my mouth shut, because I don't believe that. I don't care. But I felt rushed and I didn't know what to do."

If it would be up to Katy Perry, she will have Jelly Roll replacing her.

"I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show. I was convinced at anything he said," she said, adding, "He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything ... To have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing. I love you, Jelly!"
