Lil Yachty appeared on his A Safe Place Pod show, also starring Mitch Gone Mad, to chat about Kendrick Lamar and Drake's extremely public feud. The dust is finally starting to settle on a month-long beef of which many believe Lamar is the winner.

A friend of Drake's and a fan of Lamar's, Yachty took the chance to speak on the series of diss tracks.

"Kendrick clearly had a lot more animosity, and you felt it in every song that he dropped. Because Drake dropped great records, but also, let's be fair, Drake was deemed a loser in this battle before it started," said Yachty.

"People don't like him, and haven't. He's won for a very long time, and he's sat on the throne, respectfully, he still sits on the throne," he said, championing his collaborator.

"I think Drake has dealt with that sh-- since the beginning of time. He's always not truly been liked. It's unfortunate."

He added that I wished that there hadn't been input from the outside world.

"I really wish it was only Drake and Kendrick. It kinda seemed like when Kendrick came out and was like 'I hate this n----.' Everyone was finally like, 'I hate him too.'" he continued.

He is confident that Drake's career won't nosedive from the beef, saying that "Even if the opinionated masses say that Kendrick won, I don't think people are gonna stop listening to Drake and Drake's career is gonna flush."

Drake was the fourth most streamed artist on Spotify in 2023, and claimed the number one spot in three distinct years prior.

Yachty then drew a distinction between rap battles and other forms of competition.

"There's no rules, it's not like the NCAA March Madness, you know, it's been the same. Every rap battle has been scored and handled a little differently. It's not officiated," he said.

He declared Lamar and Drake's as the "most officiated beef, as far as it comes to winner."

The rapper claimed to have told Drake that he didn't win or lose the battle against Lamar.

"Like, rappers have lost and then lost everything...I don't think that this has happened to Drake. I still think Drake is going to be in everyone's wrapped Spotify at the end of the year," he said.

He continued, saying that Drake will still release hits and "control the summer."

Yachty also conceded that Lamar made "very smart movies" and that Drake would agree.

"It was very sinister, it was a great sample," said Yachty of Lamar's fiery "Meet the Grahams." On the track, Lamar targets Drake by addressing all of his family members, and even hints that the "One Dance" artist has a secret daughter.

Yachty, meanwhile, is taking the accusations thrown at both Drake and Lamar with a grain of salt.

"Extreme accusations, which, there's no proof of either one," he said.

Lamar was accused of domestic violence while Drake was accused of being a "certified pedophile."

"I think these are both really great guys. And I don't think it was much to say about either one, so I think they just had to find an angle and poke at that hole," said Yachty.

"I think it's over. I think it ended with 'Not Like Us.' Sh-- banging," he concluded.

"It was a really good battle. I think that we'll never get something like that again,"

Interestingly, this particular episode of A Safe Place Pod is scrubbed from the podcast's social media and streaming channels.
