Zac Brown is taking all the necessary steps to protect his family by filing a temporary restraining order against his estranged wife, Kelly Yazdi, after her explosive social media posts.
Yazdi took to her Instagram account earlier this month to share a video of herself taking a plunge in a swimming pool. In the lengthy caption, she seemingly accused someone, only referred to as "he," of telling her to stop modeling, stop sharing fitness videos, and more.
She also accused the person of "narcissistic" abuse as she described the four things done to her as "Projections. Gaslighting. Threatening. Stonewalling."
The country star shared a statement with People magazine, saying that after much deliberation, he decided to "enforce an agreement" between him and Yazdi to maintain their personal and business affairs privately.
He also wanted to protect his family from "online harassment and speculation."
"My only hope is for us to keep private matters private and to move forward with the mutual respect we had agreed to show one another when we parted ways," he added.
The outlet noted that Yazdi would be forced to delete her post from the platform as part of the temporary restraining order; however, as of this writing, the video is still on her account and accessible to the public.
In legal documents filed by the country star's legal team and obtained by the outlet, they claimed that Yazdi has "taken it upon herself to exact revenge upon Mr. Brown" and his company.
The documents further requested Brown's estranged wife not to make untrue and otherwise damaging statements about the singer, his family, and the Zac Brown Band.
As of this writing, Yazdi has yet to share an official statement regarding the recent filing.
In early reports, the couple got engaged in Hawaii and kept it intimate and private. They later married in a secret ceremony in 2023 but announced that they were divorcing four months later.
In a joint statement to TMZ, they confirmed that they were indeed in the process of divorce but assured fans that they still respect each other mutually.
As they navigated through the legal process of separation, the pair requested the public to give them privacy.
