Tupac murder suspect Keefe D reportedly plans to meet with Suge Knight while both are in separate detention facilities.
Despite Suge's reluctance to cooperate with authorities, Keefe is determined to persuade him to testify in his trial related to the murder of Tupac.
Keefe, who is currently detained in Las Vegas, is hopeful that he will be able to secure a meeting with Suge at the high-security prison facility in California.
To resolve the legal matters at hand, Carl Arnold, the attorney representing Keefe, is urging the two individuals who once shared a close friendship to engage in a discussion regarding Suge's potential involvement in Keefe's upcoming trial scheduled for November.
Keefe maintains his innocence in the case involving the murder of Tupac. Arnold believes Suge could be crucial in securing his client's release from legal troubles.
Suge has since publicly declined to cooperate with prosecutors in Keefe's case. During a recent conversation with TMZ last year, he contradicted Keefe's claims that his nephew Orlando Anderson was responsible for shooting Tupac on September 7, 1996.
Interestingly, Keefe has repeatedly claimed that he was involved in the public pursuit of Tupac under the direction of Suge in Las Vegas.
In various accounts, including his memoir, police interrogations, and discussions with the media, Keefe detailed how he supervised gang members who fired shots at the vehicle.
But despite all that, Keefe makes it clear that he harbors no ill feelings towards Suge, despite his admission to being present in the vehicle with the shooter when Tupac was fatally shot.
Those close to Keefe have unveiled a bold strategy aimed at vindicating him. In a recent conversation with The Sun, Arnold disclosed his intention to summon Suge and arrange a face-to-face meeting between Keefe and Suge at the Ronald J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
"What I would like if possible is for Keefe to bail out and then we go down there together and go talk to Suge. Because, if I go down there by myself, I'm sure rightfully so, Suge will be somewhat hesitant but he and Keefe have a relationship," Arnold said.
The lawyer's statement revealed that Suge, known for contributing to Dr. Dre's music journey, emphasized the potential impact on the prosecution's case.
"Suge said on TMZ that Keefe was not involved," Arnold explained. "To some of us, that reaction is shocking given that he has boasted multiple times about helping his nephew get a gun and shoot at Suge and Tupac that night in Las Vegas. They had actually seen one another since the Tupac shooting, and there was no violence or trouble."
"Both of them know a lot about each other's pasts and time running in and out of the criminal underworld in LA in the 1990s."
"But Keefe has told folks that he never thought Suge would snitch because of the 'street code.'"
In adherence to their code of silence, both "gangsters" all abided by the principle of not divulging information to the authorities.
Suge refrained from cooperating with the Vegas police following the incident, showing a certain level of respect within the streets. Now, Keefe requests Suge to appear as a witness at his trial. Having already shared details about the incident with the media, Keefe believes it is only fitting for Suge to have his say in court, Keefe's lawyer said.
"If Suge gets up and says he never saw Keefe, that would be an absolute home run for the defense. "Perhaps his testimony or even a sworn statement could be the key in Keefe walking," Arnold explained.
