Founding Staind drummer Jon Wysocki has died. He was 53.

Wysocki's bandmates confirmed his death in social media posts, delivering heartbreaking messages following his passing on Saturday, May 18.

Soil's official Facebook page shared the band's photos with Wysocki alongside a heartfelt caption message from Adam Zadel, Tim King and Ryan McCombs.

"Today we lost one of the greats. Jon Wysocki was not only a great friend, a great drummer, but a great human being. It was an honor to have him in SOiL for the time we did. We had so many laughs, so many good times. You will be missed dearly. Until we meet again dear friend....." the caption read.

Meanwhile, Lydia's Castle penned an initial post to confirm that Wysocki died surrounded by family and friends before releasing an official statement.

Prior to Wysocki's death, Shawna Lynn Hornbeck updated the drummer's friends and fans as he remained in the ICU due to issues with his liver. He was required to receive further medical attention to be treated properly.

"While he has been struggling, there are signs that he is recovering slowly. Out of respect for Jon, Shannon, and his family, we ask that you do not bombard anyone close to this situation with tons of questions or attempt to come visit him while he is in the ICU to ensure that his family has the time they need and deserve to be with him and to prevent the waiting room from being flooded with friends that, understandably, want to see him," the statement continued.

Wysocki's Staind bandmate, Aaron Lewis, also took to X to share his heartbreak after losing a friend whom he "loved like a brother."

"The battles we fought together. The battles we fought against each other. The battles we fought side by side alone with our own demons. The battles we won and the battles we lost. He was my friend. He was our brother. My heart is broken. My world has change," Lewis went on.

Wysocki's family has yet to share funeral and memorial details.

The drummer notably joined and co-founded Staind in 1995. He was fired from the group while making their self-titled seventh studio album in 2011. He then played with Soil and Lydia's Castle in the years leading to his death.
