Christina Aguilera turned up the heat in Mexico over the weekend with a special performance.
The "Genie in a Bottle" songstress took to the stage at the Tecate Emblema festival in Mexico City, alongside other performers like Anitta and Nelly Furtado. Thousands gathered to watch the hitmaker perform some of her greatest hits, which included "Dirrty," "Beautiful," and "Lady Marmalade."
Aguilera rocked a sheer bodysuit and red gloves, sporting her signature blonde hair as she commanded the stage with her dancers. She later took to Instagram to share her smoking look, which was completed with a fuzzy red hoodie and black sunglasses.
"Mexico you will always have my heart," she captioned the steamy post, which has already amassed over 80,000 likes. The comments were flooded with praise for the singer's latest "thirst trap."
"Everyone is gagged! A fashion icon. A fitness legend. A beauty queen. A talented girl! Not everyone has all of that," one user commented. Fellow musician Tinashe also shared some love in the comments section.
The performance is also going viral on TikTok, with many revealing that they initially mistook her for Lady Gaga and internet influencer and content creator Tana Mongeau.
"First thought was, gaga? no, then Tana Mongeau!!! then she started singing," someone posted.
"If Tana doesn't do this look for Halloween I'm gonna riot," another TikTok user commented. Another said that Mongeau has "the opportunity to do the most iconic thing ever for Halloween."
Mongeau even responded in the comments section, agreeing with those pointing out the similarities. The podcaster agreed with the comparisons, commenting "That's me."

The 43-year-old played to 72,000 attendees at the concert, Billboard reports. With a mix of songs in English and Spanish, she performed some of her deep cuts from her 2022 self-titled Aguilera album, as well as songs from her Spanish-language LP, Mi Reflejo.

Following her acclaimed concert appearance, Aguilera will return to Las Vegas, where she is currently performing her sold out residency, Christina Aguilera at Voltaire. The intimate concerts are scheduled through August of this year.
Her Mexico concert also featured a snippet of "Show Me How You Burlesque," a song from the 2010 movie she co-starred in with Cher. She is currently working on a stage musical adaptation of the film, which is set to open in London this summer. Working as a producer for the Burlesque stage production, she is also collaborating with Sia, Diane Warren, Todrick Hall, and Jess Folley on new music for the show.
