The View co-host Ana Navarro commented on Sean 'Diddy' Combs' latest issue involving a 2016 video footage where he was seen assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
The industry was left in deep shock after CNN released a video footage on Friday, May 17, showing Combs shoving, grabbing, kicking and attacking Ventura during a 2016 stay at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. Several celebrities have spoken against the embattled rap mogul, including The View hosts.
On the latest episode of the talk show on Monday, May 20, Navarro spoke with Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Whoopi Goldberg weighed in on Combs' latest downfall and explained why the Bad Boy Records founder should "pay horrible social consequences" following the release of the 2016 video footage.
According to Navarro, the clip proved that Combs has always been a "social reaper." She also urged the public to make him pay in other ways after Hostin noted he could not be charged due to the statute of limitations.
"The LAPD may not be able to charge him, but we are able to shun him and he should be treated like the leper... the social leper and criminal he is," Navarro said on The View. "We saw him commit assault, and I don't want to see him at any restaurant, I don't want to see him at any award show."
She added, "I'm not going to buy any brand that he's associated with, he's been dropped by a bunch already. I think this guy should be treated and pay horrible social consequences - if the legal ones don't get him."
Hostin asked whether Combs indeed paid the hotel $50,000 "to bury the video," and Navarro slammed everyone who has enabled the rap mogul's actions and behavior.
"Well, that's been part of the story, it's alleged that he paid that," Navarro answered, adding, "And if that's the case: shame on those hotel employees, shame on all the people around Sean Combs who have enabled, justified and looked the other way on all of this type of behavior for decades, because these whispers have been around for decades."
Combs has since uploaded an apology video on Instagram, admitting he would take full responsibility for his actions in the video after previously dismissing Ventura's claims in her November 2023 lawsuit.
