The surprise duet by Chris Stapleton and Dua Lipa at last week's ACM Awards was one of the highlights of the show -- now they're giving fans a chance to relive it by releasing the performance as a single.
The performance recorded at the awards show in Frisco, Texas features the artists backed by Stapleton's band, the Honchos, and a 13-piece string section.
While the show featured several high-profile collaborations, including Reba McEntire and Post Malone, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, and others, Stapleton and Lipa won praise for their team up.
It wasn't only the musical pairing that gained attention. Dua Lips also made headlines for her two different sheer gowns at the ACMs.
Dua Lipa recently revealed to Billboard how the two performers managed to pull off the surprise duet. "Lots of zip-up hoodies and running in and out of the arena," she said. "We were all so in on making sure that this stays a surprise to make the moment even more special. I don't know how we did it, I'm glad we did it because it's really special when it happened tonight on stage."
A Lipa-less studio version of "I Think I'm in Love With You" appeared on Stapleton's last album, Higher, released in 2023.
Aside from performing with Dua Lipa, Stapleton also picked up four awards at the 59th ACM Awards - he won Album of the Year for Higher as an artist and producer, Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
Dua Lipa, meanwhile, recently hosted and served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live to promote her new album, Radical Optimism. The album debuted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the U.K., but was blocked from the top spot in the U.S. on the Billboard 200 by Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department. Still, the album did debut at the top of Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart.
