Music fans, mark your calendars. The Recording Academy announced Tuesday (May 21) that the 2025 Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

As usual, the show will be broadcast on the Recording Academy's longtime partner TV network CBS, and it will continue the relatively new option of streaming live and on demand on Paramount+

Nominations for the 2025 Grammys, officially known as the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, will be announced on Friday, Nov. 8.

Something to keep in mind is the product eligibility period, which runs from Sept. 16, 2023, through Aug. 30, 2024. That means such recent high-profile albums as Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter, Taylor Swift's The Torture Poets Department and Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft are eligible for the upcoming Grammys and will likely end up battling it out in the coveted Album of the Year category.

Swift has won the award four times for Midnights (2024), Folklore (2021), 1989 (2016), and Fearless (2010), while Eilish took home with honor in 2020 for When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Despite having a few worthy contenders, Beyoncé has never won that award, much to the displeasure of her husband Jay-Z who railed against the Recording Academy last year while accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award.

"We love y'all. We want y'all to get it right," Jay-Z said from the stage. "I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work."

As you may recall, women dominated the 2024 Grammys with Taylor Swift winning Album of the Year with Midnights, Billie Eilish taking Song of the Year with "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie soundtrack, Miley Cyrus winning Record of the Year with "Flowers" and Victoria Monet taking Best New Artist honors.

Don't be surprised if some of those same artists score multiple nominations for 2025.

It remains to be seen who'll be performing at the 2025 Grammys, but don't be surprised if the Recording Academy once again rolls out some high-profile performances that are kept secret until the show airs. Last year, fans were surprised by the Tracy Chapman-Luke Combs duet as well as a rare performance by Joni Mitchell backed by a cavalcade of current stars such as Brandi Carlisle, Allison Russell, Lucius, Jacob Collier and others.
