Victoria Monét just made a shocking announcement to her fans, saying that she will cancel three of her festival appearances this year due to her health condition.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the musician shared a statement, saying she's "gutted" to tell her fans that she will no longer perform at festivals such as the Governor's Ball in New York City, Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, and Blavity in Nashville.
"I am so sorry!! Candidly I have been dealing with some ongoing health issues that have to be addressed right now," she added.
The musician assured her supporters that she would be back soon and noted that the decision wasn't easy for her.
"Please know it wasn't an easy call, but it's definitely for the best," she said, adding that her other shows later this year will still proceed as planned.
"See you soon," she concluded.
According to her official website, her next shows will be this summer at the Broccoli City Festival in Washington, D.C., on July 27, Lollapalooza Chicago in Chicago, IL, on August 1, Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco, CA, on August 9, and Victoria Park in London, UK.
Victoria Monét didn't give more details about her ongoing health issues, but she previously tackled her polycystic ovary syndrome on social media.
In a previous Instagram story, the musician shared a photo of herself performing at Coachella and later addressed her weight gain.
"I gained a lot of weight and it went a lot of places lol face, arms, tummy and most effectively... datassss," she wrote, adding that she's usually frustrated with the body change due to her PCOS, but she cracked a joke and noted that there are "two moons" on stage.
Monét has been thriving in the music industry this year, as she won three Grammy Awards in February.
The singer brought her three-year-old daughter to the red carpet and told People magazine that coming to the event was a big deal for her because people said to her that being a parent would have a toll on her career.
"To have one of the more fearful moments career-wise turn into one of the best moments ever of my career is really magical. I'm honored to have the accolade for her," she said.
