Jake 'The Snake' Roberts Had A Tumor Removed From His Chest While Battling Pneumonia

Fans of the WWE are very familiar with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, a professional wrestler who has left his mark on the industry with both his charisma and use of snakes in the ring. He also spent years battling various addictions but has reportedly been clean for about 2 years. Roberts was diagnosed with muscular cancer last February but by early summer he had announced that he was cancer free. Unfortunately Roberts' rough road to recovery was blocked again this past July when a flu turned into a serious strain of pneumonia. At the time doctors treated the WWE legend by inducing a coma while killing off the underlying infection but they also found a tumor in Roberts chest that required removal.

As if all of this wasn't difficult enough for Roberts, it was also recently confirmed that doctor's discovered bumps on the wrestlers brain that likely are a result of taking direct hits for years in the ring. While his health has been dicey at best, Roberts has insisted that drugs and alcohol have no bearing on his current health and he has also managed to joke around on his social media accounts, tweeting, "227lbs. All the way from 308lbs how sweet is that? Granted pneumonia not a good way to achieve but I'm still taking it."

Jake "The Snake" Roberts was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year and while he was honored to be included in such great company his fondest wish is to get back into the ring again. Roberts has made no secret of how badly he wants to be able to rebound from everything just to wrestle again but he is also a realist and admits that it may not be realistic.

Do you think that Jake "The Snake" Roberts can ever return to the WWE ring even for one more match?
