Katy Perry has officially left American Idol. Days after the competition show's finale, the musician seemed to have kicked off her new musical era, as fans noticed something on her social media accounts; could this be a sign of new music?

The pop star's fans, dubbed Katy Cats, immediately noticed the sudden change in the singer's display photo, which now features a silver "KP" logo with an orange background.

In addition, Perry's record label, Capitol Music, also shared the same logo on X, but it's an animated version. In the caption, the company only wrote the singer's official website, which contains a sign-up for her newsletter.

Although the singer has yet to share details about her next album, fans have expressed their excitement online, theorizing that this might be the beginning of a new musical era.

"NOW YALL BETTER REMEMBER THIS TIME WHO THE BOSS IS. PROMOTE LIKE YOUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT. WE WILL NOT LET KATY DOWN," one wrote.

"THIS ERA IS GOING TO LOOK AMAZING KATY PERRY IS COMING," another one wrote.

Katy Perry has also launched an Instagram broadcast channel titled "143," in which she shared a voice recording in which she said, "In case you didn't know, today is the 143rd day of the year. I love you."

There have been a few theories about Perry's next album's aesthetic, as many fans believe it will revolve around butterflies.

She first gave a hint during her last performance at her Las Vegas residency, when she flashed the phrase "See ya next year..." on the screen, followed by purple butterfly confetti.

In her Rock in Rio announcement, the pop star was also seen posing with a custom pair of gloves featuring blue butterflies.

Fast-forward to the finale of American Idol. The pop star performed, and the stage was showered with yet another butterfly confetti.

Perry has officially left the judging panel of the reality TV competition series after seven seasons. During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, She told the host that she wanted to focus on her music career and release a project this year.

"It's going to be a very, very exciting year for all pop star girlies," she declared.

Perry has yet to share the official release date of her first single for her sixth studio album.
