In debunking the notion of predicting Sean "Diddy" Combs' downfall, The Simpsons has faced yet another situation where their supposed prophecy has been misrepresented.

Matt Selman, the show's head producer, took to TMZ to clarify the misunderstanding stirred up by a fake artificial intelligence-rendered image of the disgraced music mogul as a character fleeing the authorities in a distinctive pink suit.

According to the TV producer who spoke to the outlet, "In the current era of digital misinformation, The Simpsons 'predictions' (or, more accurately, 'coincidences') have become meaningless. Any goofball can whip up an AI image based on a current event and say, 'The Simpsons predicted it!' - and decent-but-easily-misled folks will believe it because they want it to be true."

Considering those who fell for the deception, the striking image of Diddy in his pink suit from a past red-carpet event was undeniably convincing. Selman criticized those who manipulate AI to deceive the public while also stressing the importance of quickly verifying the authenticity of these pictures to avoid being misled.

He also mentioned The Simpsons' track record of foreseeing notable events, including the Ebola epidemic, Game of Thrones finale, Titanic sinking, Lady Gaga's Super Bowl show, and Donald Trump's presidency.

Selman explained that the show's ability to predict the future centers on two key factors: historical data and mathematical calculations.

"If you study history, you will be able to 'predict' the future because the foolishness of humanity repeats itself. If you study math, you will know that if the show makes literally tens of thousands of jokes about American society over almost 800 episodes, it would be statistically impossible not to create material that overlaps with what would later happen in real life."

News of the AI-generated Diddy "prophecy" follows news about 50 Cent's documentary shedding light on the sexual assault accusations involving his longtime adversary.

According to reports, the upcoming docuseries is set to focus on the abuse accusations leveled against Diddy by his former partner Cassie Ventura and a group of other women.

Ventura took legal action against the renowned rapper in November 2023, claiming that he sexually assaulted and trafficked her during their decade-long relationship. Allegations included claims of rape in 2018, coercion into intimate encounters with male companions, and instances of physical violence.
