People and country musicians have celebrated Jelly Roll for his music, and fans have been waiting for him to release his new album. More recently, the singer gave an insight into his new material.
The singer appeared in an episode of Taste of Country Nights, where he was asked what people would learn from his new music, which the public has yet to hear.
"There's a lot of storytelling on this album," he said, adding that he wrote over ten songs for the album last year, but in total, he had written 150 songs.
He added that he had never been so inspired by the many stories people told him, from gas stations to red-carpet events. He noted that he heard a lot of life stories.
Later, he opened up about using marijuana, saying it helped him to continue being sober.
"I get in trouble for this, all the time, but my stance on marijuana will always be the same. I believe marijuana has helped me in so many regards, with my anxiety," he confessed.
Jelly Roll went on to discuss that although his stance might be a "hot button topic," for him, marijuana kept him sober.
"I think a world without weed, Jelly Roll's drinking codeine and popping Xanax and snorting cocaine again. But a world with weed, I'll be alright," he declared.

However, in his stance, his sobriety journey was different from theirs.
Just last month, Jelly Roll proved that he's taking a healthier path in his life. He revealed to People magazine that he had lost over "70-something pounds" ahead of his 5K marathon.
Giving fans an insight into his fitness routine, the singer said he walked two to three miles a day for four to six days a week.
In addition, he spends 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna and six minutes in a cold plunge every day. Regarding his diet, the musician said he's been "eating healthy."
Earlier this month, Jelly Roll participated in the 2 Bears 5K with Bert Kreischer and Tom Seguera in Pasadena, CA.
After the marathon, he told Entertainment Tonight that he was "a little tired" but felt great. He added that the race was harder than he thought it would be, but still, he considered it "awesome."
More recently, his wife, Bunnie XO, shared a video where he could swim laps in their pool with their daughter.
He then revealed that he wanted to run another 5K by Thanksgiving later this year, saying, "5K by Turkey Day, baby!"
