The teaser concludes with the title of the song, "The Boy is Mine," along with the highly anticipated release date of June 7.

Fans in the comment section went wild, claiming this is a "real" teaser and they cannot wait for it to be dropped.

One wrote, "Wow! I can't wait to see this! that's what I would call a real teaser!"

Another said, "ARE YOU INSANEEEEEEE."

Notably, "The Boy is Mine" serves as the third single from Eternal Sunshine, an album many fans interpret as delving into Ariana's personal journey, including her past marriage to Dalton Gomez.

During an interview with Apple Music's DJ Zane Lowe, Grande disclosed that the provocative track was among the first she collaborated on with her longtime producer, Max Martin.

She candidly admitted her initial concerns about how listeners would interpret the song, noting that it stands out as the boldest offering on her latest album.

"This is a very bad idea, I think, but ... there is a large group of my fans that really do love a bad girl anthem," she said. "And this is kind of an elevated version of that."

According to Time Magazine, "The Boy is Mine" provides Grande with an opportunity to toy with the public's perception of her as someone infatuated with romantic entanglements, despite being taken.

It can be remembered how she faced allegations of being a "homewrecker" head on with this quite unapologetic song.

"The Boy Is Mine" concludes with Grande acknowledging her role in the situation, stating, "I take full accountability for all these tears," but it's not presented as an apology. In the song's bridge, she delivers a decisive line, "I can't ignore my heart, boy," suggesting that their romantic involvement was inevitable.

Some people did react to this song negatively, but it still went on to become one of her greatest hits today.
