Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker welcomed their baby Rocky Thirteen last year, but it was a long journey before the couple finally got pregnant. More recently, the reality star gave an insight into her IVF experience, saying it all failed before she conceived her baby.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to Instagram stories to answer a fan who asked: "Had 6 failed IVFs - how did you find the strength to keep going? It's debilitating."
The reality star then got candid about her journey, saying she stopped after a year of trying and she had five failed IVF cycles and three retrievals.
"My body relaxed and I believed in God's plan for my life... Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health... I know how hard it is to feel like you're not trying, but believing in God's plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!" she added.
In a follow-up story, Kardashian clarified that she got pregnant "100% naturally" and her baby was not conceived via IVF.
"I want to be super clear bc it seems my answer to the IVF question may have been confusing," she wrote.
Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian married at a courthouse in Santa Barbara, CA, in May 2022. They later had a bigger ceremony in Italy with their closest friends and family.
They welcomed their first child, named Rocky Thirteen, in November 2023.
This wasn't the first time the reality star gave an insight into her life as a mom. She also spoke about her pregnancy in an episode of The Kardashians, saying both she and Barker were surprised after they decided to take a break from trying to conceive via IVF.
"It happened on Valentine's Day... I mean, people would always tell say to us, 'When you stop trying, it's just going to happen,'" she said.
She added that both of them stopped IVF two months before they got married, and it took her a year to get rid of the hormones and chemicals in her body.
Kardashian clarified that she and Barker weren't trying to have a baby, and she wasn't checking her ovulation anymore. They just decided to "put it in God's hands," and they thought it wasn't going to happen anymore until she became pregnant.
