A Coldplay enthusiast with arthritis cannot believe she had the opprortunity to ride with Chris Martin in the flesh, in his car.

Not only that, it was the singer himself who offered her a ride to his band Coldplay's U.K. concert on Sunday, May 26.

Saundra Glenn, 65, recounted via X on Monday, May 27, how Martin halted his car and graciously picked her up before Coldplay's headline performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Luton, England.

During an interview with ITV News on Monday, Glenn shared her determination to attend Coldplay's performance at Stockwood Park in her hometown of Luton, despite her mobility challenges due to osteoarthritis.

"I really, really, really wanted to see Chris Martin and Coldplay," said Glenn. "I thought to myself, I know this park, I've known it since I was a child, and it's once in a lifetime to see Chris Martin, I just have to do it. If I go late, and just watch them, I should be OK."

As Glenn began her journey to the Big Weekend venue in Luton, a black Mercedes pulled up beside her.

"The next thing, this big black car comes out of nowhere and a lovely woman looks out the window and says, 'You look like you're struggling - what can we do to help? Can we give you a lift?'" Glenn recounted.

"So she tells me to get in the back and the door opens and there's Chris Martin sat there. I couldn't believe it and the first thing I said was, 'You're Chris Martin! Can I shake your hand?!'" she added.

During the ride, Glenn shared that she and Martin reminisced about their upbringing in Luton, and the singer inquired about her life and occupation.

Upon arrival at the designated area for artists, Glenn recounted how Martin assisted her in reaching the spot from where she could watch Coldplay perform.

"They put me in a buggy that said 'artist' on it and escorted me to the accessibility area. They were falling over themselves to help me," she said.

This is hardly the first time that Chris Martin went out his way to make a fan happy.

Last year, he delighted a young fan during the band's Vancouver concert on September 23 by performing a personalized birthday song for him.

Bringing Leo, the young fan, and his mother onstage at BC Place, Martin serenaded Leo with an original song to commemorate his 10th birthday.

Video footage captures Martin seated beside Leo at the piano, crafting improvised verses for the jubilant crowd.

Back in 2017, when Coldplay went to the Philippines, Martin also made sure he did more than just sing and perform.

Hours before their Manila concert, Coldplay's lead vocalist Chris Martin took time off to give a fan Ken Valiant Santiago, a visit at the Philippine General Hospital.

Ken is a medical student at the University of the Philippines-Manila who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
