After Jennifer Lopez announced the cancellation of her tour, her first in five years, the actress from 3 Body Problem expressed support for the "Can't Get Enough" singer.

"I have to say the level of bullying that this woman has received in the last few months is so disturbing and heartbreaking," Gonzalez wrote on her Instagram Stories on May 31.

She posted her sentiments with a screenshot of a story announcing the tour cancellation. "How can you complain about someone being mean while enjoying mean about them. People are humans, make mistakes and some have personal things happening while also having to be constantly perfect in the public eye."

The 34-year-old continued, "The world is a pretty complicated place. The best thing we could be doing now is be kind. We have no clue what people are experiencing."

Lopez's tour was called off amidst swirling breakup rumors involving her and their husband, Ben Affleck, as well as ongoing criticism, particularly on TikTok, regarding her lifestyle and recent career decisions, including her performance in the new Netflix film Atlas, which currently holds the top spot on the platform's U.S. version but has garnered mostly negative reviews from movie critics.

For the record, Lopez's official statement behind the cancellation of her tour revealed that the main reason for this is that she focuses on her family.

As the "On the Floor" singer was gearing up to embark on her This Is Me...Live tour, scheduled to begin on June 26 in Orlando, she has decided to cancel it.

"Jennifer is taking time off," Live Nation announced May 31, "to be with her children, family and close friends."

Considering all the divorce buzz, the reason sounds quite fitting.

The Selena star, who shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, communicated directly with her fans through her OntheJLo newsletter.

"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down," the 54-year-old began. "Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again."

"I love you all so much," she concluded. "Until next time..."

The newsletter also mentioned that fans who purchased concert tickets via Ticketmaster will receive automatic refunds.
