Riley Keough, Elvis Presley's granddaughter, faces challenges from her family's past and legal troubles as she honors her mother's memory.

In preparation for Lisa Marie Presley's upcoming autobiography release on October 15, the 35-year-old actress dug into her mother's archives, sifting through old tapes and notebooks.

A special event might take place at Graceland, the famous estate where Riley's mother, grandfather, and brother Benjamin were laid to rest, as a tribute to her family.

According to an insider close to the project who spoke to Page Six, Keough researched into "hundreds of hours of [Lisa Marie's] thoughts and dreams" during the creation process.

The source shared that the Daisy Jones and the Six star aims to present the upcoming autobiography with precision and empathy, which remains untitled at present.

Describing the experience as akin to "living with ghosts," the insider shed light on how the actress is dedicated to capturing the essence of the story.

Keough is a multi-talented individual, juggling her roles as an actress, producer, and mother, as described by the source, and they highlighted her challenges in curating her mother's thoughts into a book, emphasizing the monumental task.

They told the outlet, "She's not only had to listen to her mom's thoughts, but has to decide how to package that into this book ... It's a Herculean effort. She's going to have a lot of input on how people perceive Lisa's legacy forever. That's how difficult this is."

Amid it all, Keough is also entangled in intricate family legal matters. Recently, there were plans to auction off Graceland after her late mother defaulted on a substantial loan. Keough, the sole inheritor of the estate, took legal action to safeguard the property, citing concerns about falling victim to a foreclosure scheme.

To maintain a positive relationship with her grandmother Priscilla Presley, Keough also settled a dispute regarding the authenticity and validity of Lisa Marie's will. Priscilla had raised concerns about the legal document following her daughter's passing.

To resolve the matter, Keough agreed to pay her grandmother $1 million and cover $400,000 in legal expenses. This arrangement ensured that Keough would be the sole owner of the estate moving forward.
