Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were spotted together attending the latter's son, Samuel's basketball game.
As the two faced photographers, Page Six reported that the couple had "deliberately avoided locking lips" in public amid their reported marital issues and looming divorce.
In the photos captured during their interaction, Lopez and Affleck looked happy together in the meeting as they walked together to enter the YMCA in Santa Monica, Calif.
The two walked side by side as they entered, but unlike their previous public outings, the couple weren't holding hands. Garner, Affleck's ex-wife, Samuel's mother, and Affleck's mother, Anne Boldt, were also present at the sporting event to support the 12-year-old in his basketball match.
As rumors of Affleck and Lopez's divorce emerged, Garner has also been roped into the drama. OK magazine sources have revealed that the "Let's Get Loud" singer has reportedly told Garner to "back off."
"Everyone knows that [Affleck] and [Garner] remained very close after their divorce. He confides in [Lopez] about everything, even his issues with [Lopez]," the sources have revealed. "[Lopez] hates that [Affleck] goes back to his sensible, down-to-earth ex-wife for advice and emotional support. She doesn't want [Garner's] input."
However, a different source refuted the claim, saying that Lopez didn't outright tell Garner to "back off."
"Both women have been down this road before and know their boundaries - but she did tell [Affleck] that his ex needs to stay away from him and butt out of their personal drama. [Affleck] then relayed the message to [Garner]," the source added.
The public outing came days after Live Nation announced that Lopez's This Is Me...Live Summer tour was canceled.
"Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends," the announcement read. In a message to her fans, Lopez had this to say:
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time...," Lopez said.
It has been reported that ticket sales for the tour were not performing well, prompting the singer to cancel seven stops on her US tour quietly. She even rebranded the show from "This Is Me... Now" to "This Is Me... Live | The Greatest Hits" to include her extensive discography rather than her newest album only.
