Cyndi Lauper has announced her farewell tour, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour.

The announcement comes off the heels of her upcoming documentary, Let the Canary Sing, which will premiere on Paramount + on June 4 with an accompanying soundtrack. The concert run will take Lauper across North America, starting in Montreal in October and finishing up in Chicago in December. This will be her first tour since 2017's Summer Tour.

To announce the tour, Lauper and music promoter Live Nation teamed up to post an Instagram video that flashes through the highlights of Lauper's career, showing her performing throughout the years.

"I think music is healing. The sound just made me feel great," says Lauper in a narration.

"I believe that sisterhood is a powerful thing. I always felt like an outcast...and I kind of liked it out there. Who cares if somebody doesn't like what you do?" she adds. "Music always helped me, so maybe I'm just passing it along."

Prior to the beginning of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, Lauper will perform at Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. She recently performed alongside Nicki Minaj at the rapper's New York stop on the Pink Friday 2 Tour.

Lauper was recently named a Lifetime Ally Icon at the West Hollywood Pride Parade, awarding her for her activism in the LGBT+ community.
