There's a Rapidly Growing Taylor Swift Community Online. And It's Haters Only.

While Taylor Swift's Swifties are among the largest fan populations, another online community about the singer is growing at a rapid pace.

A new subreddit dedicated to hating on the "Cruel Summer" singer's relationship with Travis Kelce has amassed over 42,000 subscribers -- just 2,000 less than the main pro-Taylor and Travis subreddit.

The description of the "r/travisandtaylor" subreddit reads: "Calling Taylor Swift out on her bullsh- and counting down the days until Travis and Taylor's fake PR relationship inevitably ends. Swifties not welcome."

The countless posts within the subreddit attempt to call Swift out on a multitude of issues, from "disrespectful" lyrics to accusations that she is "mentally stuck in middle school." A top post on the site points out that the Chiefs had gained a large sum of female fans before kicker Harrison Butker's controversial commencement speech.

"The way that one teammate built up the Chiefs team brand to a whole new female audience and only a few months later another teammate completely destroyed it in a single day," the post said, referencing Butker's speech, which has been deemed misogynistic, homophobic, and transphobic.

A post that simply reads "Swifties have the exact same vibe as Disney adults" has already gained over 4000 likes on the platform, while a post that indicates that the Grammy winner does not support female artists has garnered over 11,000 likes. Another post saying that "Swifties are in complete denial over Taylor's obvious plastic surgery" has received nearly 10,000 likes.

Among one of the more unusual threads in the subreddit is a screenshot of a fake Instagram post from children's show Peppa Pig, comparing the Pitchfork review score for The Tortured Poets Department to Peppa's Adventures: the Album. The heading suggests that Swift got "roasted by Peppa Pig" for her score being slightly lower than theirs. Neither the album's score nor the Instagram post from the animated pig are real.

Over the past few years, millions of Swifties have made their voices heard on social media. Swift herself has a cumulative 550.2 million followers. Her fan accounts also have hundreds of thousands of followers each. The official Taylor Swift subreddit page has 2.6 million subscribers, landing in the top 1% of subreddits throughout the entire site.

While most of the comments in the anti-Taylor and Travis community are negative, some users also voice that they feel threatened by "ruthless" Swifties.

"I'm kinda scared to be in this sub ngl bc swifties are ruthless (I already have a swiftie cousin that gets mad at me if I say anything bad about her) and I really started to like Taylor after her folklore/evermore era but TTPD made me stray away hella and somehow this sub was recommended to me and I've been lurking ever since. I don't hate her, but there's so much about her that I don't like," a subscriber said, stating that they are "constantly looking at posts."

Although the online community may be large, Swifties still out-populate the haters. The "Karma" singer is currently bringing her Eras Tour to Europe, with each stadium averaging about 20,000 more audience members each night than subscribers on the "r/travisandtaylor" subreddit.
