Miley Cyrus recently took a moment to reflect on her remarkable journey in the music industry, particularly in light of her Grammy wins in 2024.

In February, she secured two prestigious awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year.

As she looked back on her nearly two-decade-long career that began in 2007, Miley found herself pondering the significance of these awards and why, despite being such a musical phenomenon for years, it is only now that she's getting the recognition she deserves.

In an interview with W Magazine, the singer openly shared her thoughts, expressing surprise and introspection. Her words underscored the nuanced nature of success and recognition in the ever-evolving landscape of popular culture.

Yet, amidst the contemplation, Miley made it clear that her reflections were not driven by arrogance but rather by a sense of pride in her accomplishments.

"No shade, but I've been doing this for 20 years, and this is my first time actually being taken seriously at the Grammys?" Cyrus told W. "I've had a hard time figuring out what the measurement is there, because if we want to talk stats and numbers, then where the fuck was I? And if you want to talk, like, impact on culture, then where the fuck was I? This is not about arrogance. I am proud of myself."

Looking back on her 2023 album, Endless Summer Vacation, Miley noted its critical acclaim and multiple Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Song of the Year for the hit track "Flowers." These nominations further reinforced her artistic merit and the enduring impact of her music on audiences worldwide.

Miley Cyrus boasts an impressive discography spanning eight studio albums, showcasing her versatility and evolution as an artist.

Her 2023 album captivated audiences and garnered critical acclaim, not just because of "Flowers," even though this track garnered the most attention and praise.

In particular, the collaborative track "Thousand Miles," featuring the incomparable Brandi Carlile, added another dimension to the album's success, securing a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

This acknowledgment celebrates the synergy between two powerhouse artists and highlights Miley's ability to thrive in diverse musical landscapes.

The Grammy success of "Endless Summer Vacation" marks a significant milestone in Miley's career trajectory.

Before this triumph, her Grammy nominations were scarce, with only two nods to her name: one in 2015 for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Bangerz" and another for 2022 as part of Lil Nas X's groundbreaking album "Montero."
