Pop singer Griff revealed her interesting encounter with Taylor Swift during a Kendrick Lamar concert.

In an interview with People, 23-year-old English singer Griff recalled the time she bumped into Swift while watching the Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers tour in London in 2022.

"I actually bumped into Taylor at a Kendrick Lamar concert in London. It was so surreal to see her there," Griff recalled to the publication. "We spoke a little and I was congratulating her on everything, and she mentioned then at some point she would love to have me [as an opener on tour one day]."

This wasn't the first time they met. Griff first met Swift at the 2021 BRIT Awards, where she received the Global Icon Award, and Griff was awarded the Rising Star Award.

As she digested the second encounter with Swift at the Lamar concert, she said she "wasn't totally sure" if she had heard Swift's invitation "correctly at first."

"But I watched the whole Kendrick show grinning ear to ear," Griff went on to say. Months after that fateful encounter, Griff woke up to an Instagram Story of Swift asking her fans to listen to her song, "Vertigo."

Griff described the feeling of being handpicked by Swift to perform at The Eras Tour as her opening act for her London shows as "pretty wild."

"Fearless was the first album I remember falling in love with as a kid. I'm always just so inspired by how she can have such a huge career but stay so close to the songwriting process," she recalled.

After it was officially announced that she would be performing on the June 22 show at the Wembley Stadium with Paramore, Griff took to Instagram to bask on the opportunity.

"f you know me you know this might be one of the most surreal things to say but TAYLOR SWIFT HAS INVITED ME ON THE ERAS TOUR!!!!!!!!!! 8 yr old me who had fearless on repeat wouldn't believe this. So unbelievably grateful to Taylor for all the love she's shown me and my music. See you at Wembley on June 22nd," she captioned her post.

In the interview, Griff also shared that she has never watched The Eras Tour or the film because she wants to watch it live.

"I wanted to hold out to watch the real thing," Griff added. "I'm pretty excited for 'Who's Afraid of Little Old Me' and also 'August' - I just love that song so much."
