Taylor Swift Slams Lady Gaga's 'Invasive' Body Shamers After Pregnancy Rumors

Taylor Swift is coming to Lady Gaga's defense after she was forcd to shut down speculation that she was pregnant.

The "Fortnight" singer is slamming body-shamers who theorized that the A Star Is Born actress was pregnant after new photos from her sister's wedding surfaced earlier this week. In response to the speculation, Gaga took to TikTok to put an end to the assumptions, using Swift's lyrics for her caption.

"Not pregnant - just down bad crying at the gym," she said, referencing the song "Down Bad" from Swift's recent Tortured Poets Department album. She then went on to use the viral attention to encourage her followers to register to vote, adding in the Head Count link.

Although fans rejoiced that the "Bad Romance" songstress was referencing the Eras Tour performer, Swift instead took the opportunity to call out those who had been theorizing about Gaga's personal life.

"Can we all agree that it's invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman's body. Gaga doesn't owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman," Swift said, ending her comment with a lipstick kiss emoji.

Following the interaction, Swifties and Little Monsters came together to praise the singers for speaking out on the issue.

"Very well said, love you always, mother," a TikTok user commented back to Swift.

"Ok but the Taylor reference!! Girls give us a duet!! This is now a need," another fan commented, hoping that they would head into the studio.

Swift has been a longtime supporter of Gaga, praising her ability to slide into different genres and pivot when audiences are least expecting it. She named the "Poker Face" songstress as one of her obsessions in an Entertainment Weekly cover story.

"When people think she's gonna go one way, she goes the exact opposite. She did that Tony Bennett record and won a Grammy. And then she pivots and goes and wins a Golden Globe for American Horror Story: Hotel. And then she pivots and does Joanne. And then she pivots and wins an Oscar for A Star Is Born. That's so cool, that ability to be so capable in so many different worlds. There's so much dexterity to her career."

While the pictures from the 38-year-old's sister's wedding led many to discuss a potential pregnancy, the large ring on her finger may have slipped through the cracks. Gaga was seen sporting a giant diamond on her ring finger as she walked with her longtime boyfriend and rumored fiance, Michael Polansky.
