Fresh from his ongoing beef with Drake, Kendrick Lamar has announced a special show set for June 19, Juneteenth, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
The show is being billed as "The Pop Out - Ken & Friends," featuring Lamar, pgLang, and Free Lunch.
An exclusive Cash App Card pre-sale begins Thursday (June 6) at 10 a.m. PT with the general sales starting Friday (June 7) at 10 a.m. PT.
The event was announced in Lamar's Instagram Story on Wednesday (June 5) and in an email announcement sent out by his reps, but both were short on details.
It's unclear who Lamar's "friends" are.
Aside from the recently released diss tracks aimed at Drake, Lamar is reportedly at work on a new album produced by Terrace Martin.
Martin took to Instagram Live on Tuesday (June 4) where he talked about Lamar's next project, saying it will help West Coast hip-hop remain on top, according to HipHopDX.
When a fan responded to his statement, saying, "the West Coast about to return to the Mecca of Hip Hop," Martin shot back, "We always been the Mecca, bro. We take a little break sometimes. We gotta take breaks to let the other people have a little bit. We back, though."
Aside from hyping up Lamar's next album, Martin also plugged forthcoming projects from other Compton locals YG and Roddy Ricch, was well as fellow West Coast artist Mustard.
"Let me tell y'all the records I'm excited for. I'm excited for YG's album, I'm excited for Mustard's album. I'm excited for a lot of people, but there's two albums, I'm going crazy, I can't wait 'til they drop," he said, according to the outlet.
"Roddy Ricch album and whenever Kendrick drops his album, I'm excited for those two. Those two Compton artists is like, I'm excited. So much sh--bubbling, you know?"
