A 17-year-old awoke from a coma after being unresponsive for two days --and Zach Bryan may be to thank.

Trae Ocheltree, who hails from South Carolina, was in a harrowing car accident that left him comatose for two days. A friend of Ocheltree named Greysen paid him a visit in the ICU. While alone with Ocheltree, Greysen played Zach Bryan's song "Revival," an apt title for what happened next.

As the track played, Ocheltree reportedly squeezed Greysen's hand and tried to lip sync along to the tune. "'Cause we're havin' an all-night revival/Someone call the women and someonе steal the Bible/For thе sake of my survival," sings Bryan on the song's chorus.

"Trae woke up today! Greysen was with Trae playing the Revival song from Zach Bryan and Trae responded ...he knew Greysen, Trae knew the song and he squeezed Greysen's hand," wrote a family friend on Facebook.

"Trae even tried to move with the beat of the music," the post continues.

"Trae Ocheltree raised up and tried to speak the words of the song as Greysen sang it out loud to him. Yet Trae couldn't speak due to the tubes. We were so excited the nurse came in [and] continued to do directional response tests and Trae Ocheltree responded," she added before declaring the incident a "special life moment."

Days after he awoke, Ocheltree was gifted a guitar, the same kind played by Bryan, by The Christopher Conner Foundation, which "wants to provide to all healing through music." His previous guitar was destroyed in the car accident. He picked up the new instrument and began to play "Pink Skies," the latest hit from Bryan.

Ocheltree's mother, Angela Bozard Rewis, took to Facebook to write of her son's improvement-and his love for Bryan.

"I think to say Trae is a HUGE ZACH BRYAN Fan and loves to PLAY his music is an understatement!  Trae was just learning to play Pink Skies by Zach," she stated.

She praised Bryan's track, saying that Greysen's playing the song "opened up something deep in Trae's soul as Trae woke up and came back to us."

"Music is a true therapy and love for Trae," she wrote.

Ocheltree isn't the first person to awake from a coma after hearing a favorite song. A 7-year-old who suffered a brain hemorrhage came to when Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" played; a 9-year-old Green Day fan woke up from a two-week coma after an hour of listening to American Idiot. Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees once revived after hearing Roy Orbison's "Crying" and his collaborative track with his son, "Don't Cry Alone."

More recently, a Taylor Swift fan sang along to the pop star's hits while undergoing brain surgery.
