Dolly Parton's life will be featured in a Broadway musical, but fans have to wait a little longer as it's set to be released in 2026. Who could play the legendary country songstress?

Named after her first studio album, Hello, I'm Dolly, Deadline reported that the bio-musical will feature some of the biggest hits of her career. The musician will collaborate with ATG Productions, and the project is set to launch in 2026.

"Hello, I'm Dolly, and I lived my whole life to see this show on stage. I've written many original songs for the show and included all your favorites in it as well. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll clap, you'll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol' Opera. Pun and fun intended. Don't miss it!" the singer said in a statement.

The musical will revolve around Parton's life and career, and she's set to write a book with Maria S. Schlatter, who previously collaborated with the musician on previous TV projects like Christmas on the Square.

Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises is also named as one of the producers. He said in a statement, " I had always heard she wanted to do a musical based on her life, so when she asked if I would be interested in producing it, I was bowled over."

As of this writing, neither Dolly Parton nor any of her producers have yet to share more information about the official cast members, the venue, dates, and more.

However, the singer said in a 2009 interview that she believed Broadway icon Kristin Chenoweth could potentially play her in a musical and she could do justice to the role.

"I'm hoping that she might possibly do that when I get finished," Parton told Playbill.

Chenoweth then told Jay Leno in 2022 that she was open to the idea of playing the country legend.

In other updates about Dolly Parton, the musician revealed during the Fan Fair X at the 51st CMA Music Fest that she will also open a new establishment in Nashville called the Songteller Hotel, which will feature a museum.

Although an exact opening date has yet to be announced, the singer said it will be open in "a couple of years."

"We're working real hard on that... I've always wanted a hotel in Nashville and a museum," she said.
