Sabrina Carpenter took over the charts and social media with her smash hit "Espresso," and she just released a new track and music video to gear up for the release of her upcoming album, Short n' Sweet. More recently, the musician teamed up with her boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, for the visuals of her latest single.
The singer's music video for "Please Please Please" continues "Espresso" by picking up where the initial video left off. In it, she gets arrested on the beach after ditching a man to use his credit card.
As she spent her time in what appeared to be a prison, she met Barry Keoghan's character. Then she sang, "I heard that you're an actor, so act like a stand-up guy/Whatever devil's inside you, don't let him out tonight," before begging, "Please, please, please/Don't prove I'm right."
The entire music video revolved around the couple interacting within the prison, such as visiting, and the singer even gave her boyfriend a sensual dance at one point.
Keoghan has been supportive of his girlfriend over the past few months. He was also seen in the BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend audience in Luton, England, where Carpenter was one of the performers along with Coldplay, Vampire Weekend, and more.
In a fan-shot video circulating online, the Saltburn actor could be seen vibing and clapping while his girlfriend sings "Espresso" on stage.
This wasn't the first time the actor was spotted at one of the former Disney star's concerts. He also supported her at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Australia, where she was an opening act, and her Coachella set in April.
In other updates about the High School Musical the Musical Series star, she is set to release her new album Short n' Sweet on August 23, 2024.
In a social media announcement, she expressed her excitement, saying, "This project is quite special to me, and I hope it'll be something special to you too." For her new era of music, the singer has already released "Feather" and "Nonsense," both of which became successful.
Her upcoming project is a follow-up to her previous record, Emails I Can't Send, and its extended edition, which arrived in 2021 and 2022.
