Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are not ready to officially get a divorce, but they are already reportedly living in a transition period. Lopez is said to be looking for a new home for herself, while Affleck is doing his best to just focus on things that have nothing to do with his wife.

Both are sad, but it appears that they are individually trying to cope and practise living alone, or reflecting on themselves while thinking of how to make their marriage work.

According to Entertainment Tonight, during this tough period, Lopez is relying on her family - mom and sisters, while Affleck is depending on his friends, particularly Matt Damon to cheer him up.

As their relationship journey continues to capture headlines, the couple cannot be said to have entirely given up hope on their marriage, since they are still spotted from time to time together. Yet, these instances are much rarer than the times they were alone and just doing their own thing.

An insider offered insights into where they currently stand. "Jen and Ben have been leading somewhat separate lives, but they haven't officially separated yet," the source revealed

Despite their challenges, they're both navigating this period with a sense of independence. They entered their relationship with high hopes, hoping for positive changes, but things haven't quite unfolded as they expected.

With their home on the market, Lopez is reportedly scouting for a new place of her own, signifying a temporary separation as they both take time to reflect.

"Jen is exploring options for her own space while relying on the support of her family," including her mom, sisters, and children, the source disclosed.

Affleck, too, has been leaning on his close-knit circle, particularly his longtime friend Matt Damon, amid this transition. Despite the sadness surrounding the situation, he remains focused on his work and being a dedicated father, maintaining a strong co-parenting relationship with Jennifer Garner, his former wife.

As speculation continues to swirl, it's evident that hopes for a reunion are not completely dashed, just not right now. Lopez's decision to postpone her tour underscores her prioritization of family time, after all.

The musician also shared her own message with fans in her On the JLo newsletter.

"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary," she wrote. "I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."
