In a shocking revelation, a new report suggests that Sean "Diddy" Combs has allegedly orchestrated a plan to murder Tupac Shakur, shortly before his death on September 1996.
Diddy allegedly instructed Duane "Keefe D" Davis to ensure the death of both Tupac and Suge Knight by offering a substantial bounty of $1 million for their lives.
Former LAPD detective Greg Kading disclosed this revelation in a sensational report released by New York Magazine.
During the investigations into the murders of Tupac and Biggie Smalls, Kading revealed that Keefe D confessed to Diddy ordering a hit on Shakur and Suge Knight in 1995.
Keefe D recounted the incident to Kading, stating that during a stop on Diddy's 1995 Summer Jam tour in Anaheim, California, the "I Need A Girl" singer had allegedly expressed his desire for "them dudes' heads" to a group of Crip gangsters in a hotel room. Diddy reportedly offered Keefe D $1 million in exchange for eliminating both Shakur and Suge Knight.
"Man, we'll wipe their a** out quick," Keefe D supposedly assured Diddy during their conversation, per Kading.
On September 1996, tensions reportedly reached a boiling point following Tupac's alleged altercation with Orlando Anderson, Keefe D's nephew, during a Mike Tyson match at the MGM Grand arena in Las Vegas.
In his memoir Compton Street Legend, Keefe D reflected on the moment when things turned dark between his nephew and Tupac, describing, "The s*** became ominously personal." So in a quest to seek revenge, Keefe D reportedly acquired a .40-caliber Glock from a drug dealer known as Eric "Von Zip" Martin before venturing out into the streets to track down Tupac and Suge.
On the evening of September 7, 1996, Keefe D, accompanied by Anderson and two other Crips, reportedly found Tupac and Suge Knight just after 11 PM. Keefe D allegedly gave the .40-caliber Glock to his nephew, who proceeded to fire shots, hitting Tupac four times.
Following Tupac's death, which occurred six days later on September 13 at a hospital in the vicinity, the situation took an unexpected turn. Keefe D recounts that Diddy contacted Martin, questioning whether they were involved.
The Bad Boy Records reportedly asked, "Was that us?"
Keefe D then claimed their involvement and requested the promised $1 million reward Diddy had allegedly put forward for the legendary rapper's death.
Unfortunately, despite reportedly instructing Martin to compensate Keefe D with the reward, he was allegedly never actually paid, according to Kading.
